Overview

 

SGH is seeking a Sr. Director, Corporate, Securities and M&A.  This person will lead the corporate legal function, providing strategic, business, and legal support with respect to corporate governance, securities compliance, finance, M&A, and various broader corporate matters.  This person will be a member of the SGH legal leadership team and report directly to the Chief Legal Officer.

Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of applicable experience, including law firm and in-house experience.
  • JD from an accredited U.S. law school and an active member in good standing of a U.S. state bar (either the California bar or eligible to register in California as in-house counsel).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • A sense of humor, a can-do attitude, and a passion for corporate and securities work.

 

Location

This position is ideally based near one of our established offices in the Bay Area, California; Phoenix, Arizona; Maynard, Massachusetts; or Durham, North Carolina.  We will, however, consider fully remote candidates.

 

Travel

This position may require quarterly travel to our headquarters in the California Bay Area.

 

Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $220,000 – $250,000; the pay ultimately may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location and education. The position is bonus and equity eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as paid time off, life insurance, and an employee assistance plan.
