Overview

The Business Development Executive for Americas will focus on driving increased revenues with customers in specified verticals as well as developing relationships with large IT partners.  This business development resource will focus on building a strategic plan and will execute the sales plan in conjunction with Stratus’s regional field sales teams. Primary focus will be to grow revenue for the following product lines through our partner community: ftServer, ztC Edge, ztC Endurance, everRun, and associated managed and professional services.

 

Responsibilities

  • Direct vertically focused business development strategies and tactics to grow revenue and exceed bookings goal.
  • Execute a strategic plan to accelerate business and strengthen Stratus’s position in the market to its largest customers.
  • Collaborate with extended team members to successfully execute the sales plan
  • Identify and establish executive relationships with key influencers across targeted sectors and customers
  • Identify and understand key industry/customer initiatives that result in new revenue opportunities
  • Develop new business with IT Channel partners and consulting firms in their associated eco-system

 

Qualifications

Experience

  • 4+ years sales experience in Business Development with a focus on AI/ML workloads and/ or Mission Critical Applications with large Enterprises
  • Technical selling skillset and background related to HPC (AI/ ML) clusters, Fault Tolerant Hardware, and Mission Critical Applications
  • Expansive network of technical influencers in the relevant industries
  • Complex project sales experience with multi-national companies
  • Knowledge of high availability or Fault Tolerant computing solutions and AI Computing
  • Experience in selling through channel routes to market
  • Experience participating in industry conferences and presenting on thought leading technologies and solutions

 

Skills & Education

  • Ability to develop a strategic plan including sales and marketing activities targeting AI/ ML, Fault Tolerant, and Mission Critical Application use cases
  • Forecast pipeline revenue reporting accurately on a Qrtly basis
  • Delivering near term financial objectives, while developing mid to long term strategic initiatives in a complex sales cycle.
  • Proficient in industry tradeshow speaking engagements and panel discussions
  • Establish Stratus as a trusted provider of products and services
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter, results oriented, high energy, persistent, personally accountable behavior
  • Excellent networking, researching, prospecting, influencing, closing and nurturing skills
  • Strong public speaking and general communication skills, both written and verbal with a proven capacity to engage credibly at all levels – up to and including board level
  • Demonstrates the capability to succeed in an environment in which resilience, self-sufficiency and initiative are critical success factors
  • Keeps up to date with current technologies and the IT marketplace particularly as they relate to Stratus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

25-50% as needed to successfully drive revenue and market share with our partners and customers.

 

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $100,000 – $115,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
