Overview

 

The Senior Product Manager, HPC & AI Systems Software role will be responsible for software product portfolio strategy, roadmap and product planning, and end-to-end product management.  This cross-functional leader will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to define and communicate the product strategy for all software products within IPS, including the Penguin SCYLD HPC/AI software portfolio.

Intelligent Platform Solutions (IPS) offers specialized platform and services for high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), fault-tolerant computing, and the internet of things (IoT) that span the continuum of edge, core, and cloud. Our IPS brands are Stratus and Penguin Solutions.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our HPC, AI, and Edge software products
  • Represent the voice of the customer, our partners and the market, to the rest of the business.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, engineers and executives, to understand their needs, expectations, and feedback
  • Assess emerging technologies and market/industry trends within HPC and AI in order to inform product & platform strategies.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond, and ensure that the product meets the quality, performance, and business goals
  • Working with key stakeholders, develop pricing and go-to-market strategies for the software products
  • Define and track key performance indicators and metrics, and report on product performance, progress, and outcomes

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 8+ years relevant experience in Product Management, preferably in HPC, AI, or related industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience and education
  • Strong technical background and knowledge of HPC/AI Systems computing software architectures, frameworks, tools, and standards
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and persuade at all levels
  • Proven track record of delivering successful and impactful software products and services in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Analytical, creative, and strategic thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions
  • Passionate, customer-centric, and results-oriented mindset, and the ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Ability to drive clarity in product vision and communicate strategy

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Masters in Business Administration
  • Experience defining and executing on market expansion initiatives
  • Experience in AI systems deployment and bring-up
  • Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineers, designers, researchers, and other stakeholders
  • Experience managing Services offerings

 

Location

Fremont, CA or West Coast preferred.  Remote is possible with regular travel to business locations. 

 

 

Travel

At times this position will require travel to various customer facing and / or internal events and meetings. Travel will be both domestic and international and is expected to be 20% or less of the time.

 

 

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $148,000 - $175,000; the pay ultimately offered within the expected range may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
